Pac-10 can prove itself against ranked teams on upcoming schedule

pac10For anyone questioning the strength of Pac-10 women’s basketball, some questions should be answered this week.

No. 2 Stanford defeated No. 7 Duke 71-55 last night and will host No.3 Tennessee on Saturday. The league’s other ranked team, No. 14 Arizona State, will face No. 13 Texas A&M on Saturday and No. 6 Baylor on Sunday.

With seven new players, coach Charli Turner Thorne is dealing with some inexperience but said the squad improves each week. The 7-1 Sun Devils’ one loss was 59-46 to No. 12 Xavier.
