Husky energy runs dry in the desert

With a match-up against No. 1 Stanford in Seattle just four days away, this was not the weekend the Washington women’s basketball team was looking for.

After the Huskies dug themselves out of a 33-22 halftime hole Thursday against Arizona State to force overtime, they couldn’t manage a repeat Saturday after falling behind early again at Arizona.

A 32-20 halftime lead for the Wildcats was too much, as the Huskies fell 80-50 to Arizona, leaving the desert winless and with another injury.
