Fout has Tech’s women on track

wvtechA combination of quality and quantity has been the key to a stunning turnaround for West Virginia University Tech women’s basketball Coach Jim Fout and his team.

The Golden Bears had only seven players last season, barely enough to start a game. They have 14 this season.

“Well, the biggest thing is, we have better players and we have more players,” said Fout, a Kanawha County high school coaching veteran who took control of the women’s basketball program last season after four years as an assistant with the men’s program. “They have worked hard.
