Final tuneup for Cowgirls
NCAA D1 Basketball News Saturday, November 7th, 2009The University of Wyoming women’s basketball team took advantage of its second exhibition game of the week to begin the season as the Cowgirls won 76-53 against the CSU-Pueblo ThunderWolves Friday night in the Arena-Auditorium.
The victory may have looked easy, but the ThunderWolves gave the Cowgirls all they could handle in the first half by making 3-point shots and keeping it close as Wyoming was clinging to a 34-30 advantage at the half. Wyoming then pulled away midway through the second half with a 22-0 run.
