Disappointing season for Sun ends with win over Fever
WNBA Monday, September 14th, 2009Munching on one of her final post-game peanut-butter-and-jelly sandwiches of the year, Sandrine Gruda was asked to talk about the Connecticut Sun’s season as a whole Sunday.
From behind her, Kerri Gardin — with her back turned — grunted at the open-ended question. Gruda did her best to keep a straight face.
“That,” the French center said, “was an interesting season.”
And painful. And frustrating. And for the Sun’s sake, finished.
