Thompson taking leadership role for Barry’s women’s basketball team

With more newcomers than returning players, the Barry University women's basketball team will need to come together quickly to make it three consecutive winning seasons. Gone are the likes of Princess Bailey, Kristy Singletary and Lucy Martinez, three of the Buccaneers’ top four scorers from 2008-09.

The team will lean heavily on senior forward Christina Thompson, who missed all but two games last season with a torn ACL.
