LSU overpowers Middle Tennessee State 61-40
The No. 7 LSU women’s basketball team held No. 24 Middle Tennessee State to its lowest point total since 1998, when it scored 32 against Tennessee-Martin, in a 61-40 victory Wednesday night at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center. “I think (LSU Coach) Van (Chancellor) said we were underrated and they were overrated, ” said Middle Tennessee State Coach Rick Insell. “We didn’t look that way the first half.”
The first half belonged to the Tigers.
