Former Chugiak standout stars for Nebraska
Life sounds pretty ideal for former Chugiak basketball star Kelsey Griffin.
The senior forward is a two-time first team All-Big 12 player and a candidate for the Naismith Award for Division I Player of the Year. She plays for an unbeaten squad ranked No. 18 in the latest poll and expected to garner a high seed in the NCAA Tournament. She leads Nebraska in points, rebounds and steals and will likely have the chance to play professionally when her college career is over.
But the road to success has been anything but smooth for the tenacious 6-foot-2 forward, who is averaging 16.7 points and 9.5 rebound for the 10-0 Cornhuskers.
