A day to remember for Purdue’s Malone

Maybe today FahKara Malone will reflect on the milestones she reached during Sunday’s 58-56 victory over Wisconsin.

But immediately following the come-from-behind win at Mackey Arena, the senior point guard on the Purdue women’s basketball team was happy for one reason.

“I’m just glad we won,” Malone said of the Boilermakers’ fourth victory in the last five games. “None of that really matters. We just won an amazing game, and I’m excited about that.”

It was quite a day for the Evansville native.
