  • Women's Basketball to Face Gardner-Webb on Friday at Noon
  • ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville women's basketball team will be the eighth seed in the upcoming 2010 Advance Auto Parts Big South Conference Women's Basketball Championship to be held at High Point. The Bulldogs take on top-seeded Gardner-Webb Friday afternoon starting at Noon.

  • Asheville was led by a career-high 16 points from red-shirt junior Kiana Rainey. She enjoyed her second straight double-double with 10 rebounds. It was Rainey's final home game as she will graduate in May. Also in double figures for Asheville was Kendall Shepard with 13 points and six assists. Lindsey Montgomery added 12 points. Lindsey Thompson finished with 10 points.

  • HIGH POINT, N.C. – Presbyterian College's fantastic freshman Mariah Pietrowski has been named Big South Conference Freshman of the Year. The Elizabethton, Tenn. native earns PC's first major postseason award since starting the transition to Division I. The post player is joined on the All-Freshman team by Dria David. Junior Amanda Mills also claimed All-Big South Academic Team Honors.

  • Rain Postpones First Spring Football Practice
  • CLINTON, S.C. - Inclement weather has forced head football coach Harold Nichols to delay the start of spring football by 24 hours. Soggy conditions on the practice field mean that the first spring session for the Blue Hose will be on Friday afternoon, followed by Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon sessions.
