  • Fifth seed Holy Cross used a 12-0 run midway through the second half to overcome a 22-20 halftime deficit and finish the afternoon with a 57-53 win over No. 4 Army on Saturday afternoon in the first game of the 2010 Patriot League Tournament. Junior F Erin Anthony scored her 1,000th career point in the first half, becoming the 15th Army player to do so.

  • Lehigh returns to Stabler Arena with the opportunity to win its second straight Patriot League championship Saturday night at 6 p.m. against American. The Mountain Hawks are coming off wins over Bucknell and Holy Cross in the first two rounds of the Patriot League Tournament in Worcester, Mass. The Brown and White defeated the Bison 72-58 on Saturday and the Crusaders 73-57 on Sunday. Emily Gratch led the Mountain Hawks against Holy Cross with a game-high 20 points and nine rebounds. Lehigh and American split the season series 1-1 with each team winning its home game. The Eagles cruised in the first two rounds of the Patriot League Tournament with wins over Lafayette and Navy.

  • For the fourth straight week the Lehigh women’s basketball team received votes in the USA Today/ESPN Division I Top-25 Coaches’ Poll. The Mountain Hawks earned three votes in the latest poll, which was announced on Tuesday.
