The honor is presented to each WBCA-member head coach who achieves career wins of 200, 300, 400, 500 or more, in 100 victory increments during the 2009-10 campaign.

It's the first time since 2007 when they defeated San Diego State, 56-44, that the Cowgirls have won an opening round game of the MWC Tournament.

The Utes got a huge 3-pointer from senior Kalee Whipple in overtime and Utah scratched out a 51-45 quarterfinal win. The Lobos are expected to continue playing with a postseason invite from the NIT.

The Lobos won their first-round MWC tourney game 67-54 over Colorado State and Utah pounded Air Force 63-40. The two teams battle Wednesday in the MWC tourney being held in the Las Vegas Thomas & Mack Center.
