Bad break for Wyckoff

Brooke Wyckoff should have been at basketball practice on Friday, preparing for the Chicago Sky’s final game of the regular season, a Saturday night tilt against the Detroit Shock.
Instead, Wyckoff spent the day moving out of her downtown Chicago apartment.
It seems unfair, really.

Sky gets playoff fever with victory over Indiana

The Sky is one victory away from making the WNBA playoffs for the first time in the four-year history of the franchise.
An 86-79 triumph over the league-leading Indiana Fever on Thursday night at the UIC Pavilion improved the Sky’s record to 16-17 with the final regular-season game Saturday night against the defending champion Detroit Shock.

Sky waives Wyckoff, signs veteran 6-foot-8 center

A day after announcing a knee injury had ended her season, the Chicago Sky waived forward Brooke Wyckoff and signed center Katie Feenstra Mattera. The moves were announced Tuesday morning by Steven Key, Sky head coach and general manager.

Chicago Sky loses 76-67 to Detroit Shock

The Detroit Shock pretty much has had the Sky’s number the last four seasons. With Saturday night’s 76-67 win at the UIC Pavilion, Detroit boosts its record to 10-3 against Chicago.
With a first WNBA playoff spot within range and a chance to go above .500, the Sky failed to avenge a 64-58 loss at Detroit.
