Aces women starting fresh
Ashley Austin, the leading scorer, will be there.
So, too, will Shannon Novosel, who led the team in rebounding and whose 10.9 points per game were second only to Austin.
But despite their presence, when the University of Evansville women’s basketball takes the floor for today’s exhibition game against Oakland City, Austin and Novosel won’t be available to play. While the Aces plan to commemorate last year’s Missouri Valley Conference tournament-winning team, it’s a different — and in many cases new — team that will be in uniform for today’s 4 p.m. tipoff at Roberts Stadium.
